Why You Should Go to Tallinn Coffee Festival (2024)

About the Tallinn Coffee Festival

This year marks the eighth edition of the Tallinn Coffee Festival, the largest and most important coffee event in the Baltics!

Attendees can explore a variety of specialty teas, coffees, chocolates and innovative beverage producers showcasing their creations.

Kultuurikatel, a renovated power station over a century old(!), offers the perfect space for organizers and provides a beautiful scene for the festival, making it especially appealing for Instagram enthusiasts. (You can find our IG highlights here!). The event's intimate setting within the Creative Hub's unique spaces really creates a cozy and enjoyable experience for all coffee enthusiasts.

Originally featuring local companies, the festival has evolved into an international gathering, drawing interest from specialists in neighboring countries, particularly Finland and Latvia.

The care about sustainability

For the first time, this year’s festival is all about recycling and sustainability: for this, the festival offers only reusable tableware, cups for rent on site, and encourages attendees to bring their own cups! Also, the coffee grounds from the festival are collected and sent to the Tallinn Botanical Garden to be used to cultivate plants.

How cool is that?

Who you will find

65 exhibitors! At the Tallinn Coffee Festival, all the local leaders in specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages will be present, making it an ideal networking hub for newcomers and experts in the field.

Among the participants you can find renowned names like Paper Mill, with expertise from London's coffee scene; Kokomo, pioneers of Estonia's specialty coffee; the Scandinavian-inspired Caffebo roastery; award-winning chocolaterie Chokokoo; and Latvian roasters Kalve Coffee, Rocket Bean, and Andrito Coffee.

International brands such as Jura, Melitta, Paulig, Pellini, WMF, and others also showcase their products and expertise.

Additionally, you will find representatives from the Indonesian and Turkish embassies, that will be on hand to support entrepreneurs from their respective countries and showcase their coffee and culinary cultures too!

What we loved about the 2024 Festival

Then, why should you visit Tallinn Coffee Festival this year?

Good coffee, good vibes and good food too! The exhibitors are very keen to share their knowledge and expertise about their work and passion. It’s very interesting to find some talented people and to see them take part in the competitions, which makes the festival even more entertaining.

I honestly never tried so many different types of coffee, and I learned so much about the different stories, origins and methods used to create your simple morning coffee!

This festival is definitely the best way to spend this weekend by yourself or with your loved ones - definitely a must if you're into coffee (and even if you're not)!

The Organizer: Profexpo

The Tallinn Coffee Festival is organized by Profexpo, a company with extensive experience in hosting food-related events since 1993. Among their events, the Tallinn FoodFair stands out as the longest-running and most acclaimed. Another popular event in their lineup is the bread festival, reflecting their commitment to showcasing and celebrating culinary excellence across various domains.
